Cappuccino Community Follow-ups

The Cappuccino Community research has continued since 2004 with occasional follow-up studies of public life in cafes in the UK. In 2010 we returned to one of our cafes to make recordings of what happens at, and nearby, the counter. In 2016 we returned to make a third set of recordings to examine how service interactions are changed in small but significant ways by "contactless" payment. The 2016 work is being undertaken in collaboration with the University of Oulu’s iTask project.
